How ShineMasters started
We are Federico and Joon, two people who met as students during an English course shortly after arriving in Sydney. Neither of us planned to start a cleaning company. But Sydney has a way of teaching you resourcefulness.
We started working together for a commercial cleaning company, cleaning offices in Barangaroo for major international firms. Federico moved up quickly, becoming an Area Manager, learning the operational side of professional cleaning from the ground up: team management, quality control, client expectations, and the detail that separates average from excellent.
Joon was studying. Federico was managing. And somewhere between early mornings and long days, we decided that if we were going to put this much energy into cleaning, we should be doing it for ourselves.
ShineMasters started in Mosman as a way to support our studies and build something of our own. What began with a handful of local clients has grown, through word of mouth, through Google reviews, through the simple fact that we show up, do the job properly, and treat every home like it matters.

Federico
Co-founder · Operations
Federico came to Sydney from South America and worked in commercial cleaning operations across Barangaroo before founding ShineMasters. He spent years as an Area Manager overseeing large cleaning contracts, that operational experience shapes how ShineMasters runs every job.
Based in Mosman, Federico manages day-to-day operations, quality standards and the team. He believes that cleaning done properly isn't a commodity, it's a skill, and it deserves to be treated as one.
Joon
Co-founder · Technology
Joon met Federico while studying English in Sydney. She went on to complete a Master's degree in Cybersecurity while helping build ShineMasters from the ground up.
Joon handles the technology and systems side of ShineMasters, the booking platform, communication tools and the infrastructure that keeps operations running smoothly at scale.

Every ShineMasters cleaner goes through the same process before their first booking, police check, reference verification, and hands-on training with an experienced team member.
We don't work with random contractors. Our team is consistent, the same people, the same standard, job after job. For regular clients, we do our best to assign the same cleaner each visit so they know your home and your preferences.
Our cleaners are covered by ShineMasters' public liability insurance on every job. You have full protection on every visit.

Every cleaner undergoes a police check and reference verification before their first booking. No exceptions.
Trained to one standard
New team members train alongside experienced cleaners before working independently. Everyone follows the same checklist.
